Information we collect
1. Information you submit
If you contact us (email, contact form, correction request), we receive the information you provide (e.g. name, email, message). We use it only to respond.
2. Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider and analytics tooling automatically log standard request data: IP address, user-agent, referrer, requested URL, and timestamp. This is used for security, debugging, and aggregated traffic statistics. We use cookieless analytics by default.
3. Information we do NOT collect
The rent figures, lease type, and tenancy choices you enter into our calculator are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored after you leave the page.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your inquiries.
- To produce aggregated, non-identifying traffic statistics.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: (a) legitimate interests for security logging and aggregated analytics; (b) consent for any non-essential cookies (we will request consent before setting them); and (c) legal obligation for compliance.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share only with: (i) hosting and analytics service providers bound by contract to protect your data; (ii) authorities when required by law; (iii) successors in a merger or acquisition.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do neither). Data retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to provide support and meet legal requirements.
Security
We use HTTPS, modern cloud hosting, and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Effective" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or via banner.
